Isaiah “Finn” Hairston took was awarded first place for experiments in the Elementary category
Schools in the St. Thomas-St. John District enjoyed STEAM Week, May 16-19, 2017 at the UVI Sports and Fitness Center. There, students displayed a variety of projects that showed their knowledge of Science, Technology, Engineering Art and Mathematics. Students from the Jane E. Tuitt Elementary School participated in the Fair and walked away with big prizes. According to Principal Thelca Bedminister, they are "little people doing big things."
Letoya Lewis, Tiffany Boston (first place for demonstration), Itandje Hazel, Luis Hernandez Santana (first place for engineering), Kevani Greaves and Isaiah Torrice (First place for experiment).
