Bertha C. Boschulte (BCB) Principal Carver Farrow along with Assistant Principals Dr. Merlene Jones and Michelle Wilkinson initiated a middle school Career & Technical Education (CTE) Summer Academy from July 2 - July 18 . Students met daily from 8 - 11 a.m. and were involved in classes which explored career paths and the educational components required to become successful in those fields. Mrs. Velma Farrell, BCB's computer teacher- prepared students for adapting to a global economy which is driven by technology.
Mr. Robelto Harrigan provided hands-on experience with Robotics. Mrs. Maritza Pierre prepared students with the craft of sewing. She motivated students to lean toward developing this art which is often overlooked by many but very profitable. Ms. Ingrid Smith encouraged students to become entrepreneurs by creating their own business plans.
Principal Carver Farrow hopes to continue this CTE Awareness Program throughout the 2018/19 school year.
