Temporary Modular Classroom Production

Mod Space is the company subcontracted by AECOM to supply temporary modular classrooms to the Virgin Islands Department of Education. The facilities are being manufactured in five plants across three states: Georgia, Pennsylvania and Florida. AECOM chartered freightliners through Global Go to transport the facilities from the seaport in Jacksonville, Florida. The first shipment of classrooms arrived into the Territory on July 29, 2018. Once on island, local crews transported the trailers to their respective school sites.

The following images are a step by step process of the work involved in getting modular classrooms on island from the commencement of the building process.
