SCEC 2016 Class Night Makes A Splash with 'Hunger Games' Theme

Before receiving their hard-earned high school diplomas on June 16, 2016, the St. Croix Educational Complex Class of 2016 put on a spectacular Class Night extravaganza on the evening of May 29, 2016. Students who participated in the evening's special program were donned in stylish clothing reminicient of costuming from the Hunger Games, in a special segment called 'Capitol Couture'. Similar to the blockbuster movie series, the students were seperated into five districts, including Tranquility, Serenity, Harmony, Peace and Unity, and performed a number of dance and musical selections.

But, the show of edgy glitz and glam had a deeper meaning. The students were introduced, and as they walked the stage a brief statement was read aloud about their aspirations following graduation.

A slideshow of class events and baby pictures were displayed, and the 209-member class sang a special tribute song to their parents. Students were also recognized for their sports, extracurricular and academic achievements.
