Primary students in the public schools continue to observe Week of the Young Child Wednesday and Thursday, April 13 and 14, on St. Croix with career day activities and a parade.
Lew Muckle School primary students gathered under a shady tree on Thursday, after parading around their school’s campus, dressed as their favorite book character. There, they spoke about the book characters they were depicting and gave a review of the books, as they were called out by Principal Delicia Sealey-Espinosa.
Juanita Gardine School students paraded around their school grounds on Wednesday, before they were treated to a career day activity where personnel from the Fire Service, V.I. Water and Power Authority, St. Croix Rescue and other agencies brought their equipment and gear to the campus to demonstrate to students.
