Muller Elementary students performed the "My Plate: The New Food Guide Musical" with NYC broadway dancers and acrobats!
The high-energy show is an original production by Broadway performers Helen Butleroff-Leahy and Roumel Reaux, and sought to spread a message of healthy nutrition and fitness with St. Thomas children. Muller students learned about "My Plate," the latest USDA format for healthy eating, which replaces the food guide pyramid. To combat alarming rates of childhood obesity and poor nutrition/activity habits, the students joined Broadway professionals on stage for this dynamic musical and to share their message for healthy lifestyles.
