The 25th Annual St. Croix Central High School Boys & Girls Varsity Basketball Invitational Tournament was held during the President’s Day/Ag Fair weekend, February 16-19, 2017 in the Ronald Charles Gymnasium. Both the Caribs and the Lady Caribs secured the championship title. In the girls' division, the Lady Rays of Ivanna Eudora Kean High School placed second and the Barracudas of the St. Croix Educational Complex in the boys division.
The Lady Caribs upset the Lady Rays with a 48-36 win in the championship game. CHS baller Rahkeem Swanston was named tournament MVP, as he led the Caribs to a 79-50 victory over the Educational Complex Barracudas.
Participating school teams included, Charlotte Amalie High School, Antilles School, St. Croix Educational Complex, Elmo Stout (BVI), St. Joseph High School, Good Hope Country Day and Ivanna Eudora Kean High School.
The teams will match up once more at the Ivanna Eudora Kean Invitational in March.
