Charlotte Amalie High School: Expanding Career Technical Education Through Servant Leadership
 

On a late sunny Wednesday morning at the Home of the Mighty Chicken Hawks, students could be seen filing from class to class or leisurely walking to lunch. I made my way to the main office and waited in the lobby for a sit-down interview with newly minted Principal Alcede Edwards. It didn't take long for me to be ushered into Mr. Edwards’ well-appointed office, voice recorder in hand, to learn more about his plans for Charlotte Amalie High School (CAHS) this school year.

International Teachers Learn About Crucian Culture at Cultural Sensitivity Training
 

As the Department’s new teachers from abroad settle into their new jobs and living environments, the St. Croix District Office of the Insular Superintendent pulled out all the stops to help make the educators’ transition easier.

 
On behalf of the Department of Education, Commissioner Sharon McCollum extends condolences to the Education Family in the recent passing of persons that have been a part of or close to the Department:

· Mrs. Rubye Tisdale-Todman, retired Lockhart Elementary Fourth Grade Teacher
· Ms. Clemencia C. Pilgrim, mother of retired Gomez Elementary teacher, Joan Pilgrim-Dawson
