The Day Adult program provides literacy enrichment to all levels. We have self-contained classes for non-readers. Adult Basic Education has academic levels relative to low (elementary) intermediate (middle-school) and those who are functioning academically at a high school level and preparing to take the GED test We also offer English as a Second Language (ESL) to our non-English speakers. Courses offered are Language Arts, Mathematics, Social Studies, and Science. Digital literacy and civics are also part of our adult literacy program. All our enrolled adult learners are assessed and placed in classes structured for their academic level. All of our students aren't GED aspirants; we have found most yearn to be able to read well enough to gain their independence, filling out forms and applications, etc. The program is aligned with the district's school calendar, which means we are close during the summer. Enrollment age is 18+. Both online and textbook resources are used for instruction.
