2023 Regional Science Bowl Winners

The St. Croix Educational Complex High School Team B is the winner of the Virgin Islands Regional Science Bowl, held virtually on March 5, and will represent the USVI at the 2023 U.S. Department of Energy's Office of Science National Science Bowl, April 28-May 5, in Washington, D.C. The winning team consists of Dominique Jenkins, Samir Boucena, Martin Fevrier, Ryan Ferdinand, and Jayden Ferdinand; and was coached by Linda James and Jennifer Gantan. Addelita Cancryn Intermediate & Jr. High School Team 2 won the middle school competition, and was comprised of team members Radz Daytic, Lisa Amoricia, Andrea Daniel, Ce’Dre Roberts and Asia Marie Watson; and was coached by Cecile Penn. Similar to a sporting event, the virtual science bowl competition is set up in a fast-paced tournament style and is designed to test their knowledge in biology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, astronomy, earth science, and general science.
