COMPLEX SCIENCE NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY VISITS THE UNIVERSITY OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS

The St. Croix Educational Complex Science National Honor Society visited the University of the Virgin Islands for an informative discussion about UVI’s science academic and research programs on Monday, April 15.

Junior and Senior students met in Room 401 on the UVI campus where PhD professors in Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Process Technology, UVI staff members and three Emerging Caribbean Scientists (ECS) students greeted the SNHS students and presented well-prepared lectures.

Dr. Michelle Peterson who helped coordinate this event, encouraged the Science National Honor Society students to keep their grades up to remain eligible for scholarships and several other opportunities.  Dr. Peterson was extremely pleased with the response from the students.

The Science National Honor Society was content with the exceptional way in which they were treated by the UVI staff.  The society would like to thank Dr. Michael Henry for his assistance in making this event a reality.
